We’re looking for a Full-Time Digital Marketing Designer (Chicago, IL or Remote)

We are looking for a versatile Digital Marketing Designer with a track record of high performance and strong visual storytelling to join our marketing team. You'll report to the VP Creative Director and Art Director working on a wide range of Marketing projects. You will partner with our growing design and marketing team to help drive and elevate the Built In brand within all forms of creative. We’re looking to bring our B2B brand to the next level through digital advertising, campaign creation, and sales collateral.

How you’ll contribute

  • Work within Built In’s brand identity/visuals and partner closely with marketers to execute campaigns, sales collateral, and production design solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Work alongside a creative team of designers, copywriters and marketers, adding value by supporting their talents and contributing to a high-performing and engaged team.
  • Assist with defining project scope, figure out target customer needs, and gather feedback at various stages along the design process.
  • Collaborate on brainstorming, concepting, executing and refining creative projects. Taking projects from start to finish by identifying the problem/goal, then converging to execute, all while meeting deadlines, collaborating with colleagues, and looping in stakeholders for milestones and approvals.
  • Ability to present design concepts to manager and internal stakeholders, possess a strong storytelling, hierarchy and typography skill set and excellent attention to detail with highly developed organization and communication skills.
  • Protect and elevate the brand identity and ensure implementation through templates and toolkits, enabling consistency and raising the quality of execution.
  • Participate in creative team reviews and ensure the brand is represented consistently across all design and visual content deliverables within your scope of responsibility.

What you need

  • Must have 2+ years experience with Digital Marketing Experience: sales collateral, creating landing pages for conversion, branding, infographic design, photo editing and social solutions.
  • Must submit a portfolio with application demonstrating an ability designing memorable engaging sales collateral and lead-generating campaigns.
  • Ability to ask the proper questions, problem solve and efficiently explore a range of options, then shape creative ideas into practical and commercially attractive deliverables for customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing effective time estimates and updates in progress, guided by stakeholder priorities and deadlines.
  • Understanding of key design principles and elements of high quality design. Have a good eye and strong visual sense, for high quality creative concepts, and excellence in execution.
