The Senior Director of Product will lead a team responsible for the development, management, and delivery of a portfolio of financial health products across our three markets (Financial Services, Workplace, and Healthcare) for both members and non-members. We are looking for someone who has the ability to build and manage a robust and collaborative product development process and has excellent management skills to lead a team of professionals that is responsible for product delivery. This is a new role that will report to the Chief Program Officer and serve on the Program Team Leadership Team.

This role will help define and manage our emerging portfolio of product offerings. Financial health products are standardized, scalable solutions that assist corporations in measuring and improving the financial health of their customers and employees. Product development will begin with feedback from our consulting and innovation teams, our Market Development leads, our customer experience team and FHN’s ongoing research. The process of standardizing our solutions will need rigorous financial analysis and ground testing with customers to ensure our products achieve the intended impact.  


Product Development

  • Work collaboratively across the organization to develop and market new product offerings to our target customers.
  • Create and document a process for continuously gathering inputs needed to guide decision-making in the product development and improvement process.
  • Assess the performance of existing products in meeting impact and revenue goals including sunsetting products where necessary.
  • Facilitate a narrative to describe the impact of our product suite and work with Marketing & Communications to articulate that impact for an external audience.

Relationship Management and Business Development

  • Quickly build trust and credibility with a range of internal stakeholders including Market Solutions, Market Leads, Membership, and Marketing & Communications.
  • Participate in Business Development including surfacing opportunities to enhance revenue generation.
  • Coordinate with Team Leads across the Program and Research teams to utilize staff capacity effectively.

Product Delivery

  • Provide thought leadership related to the portfolio of products to ensure creativity and alignment with market strategies.
  • Ensure the successful execution and quality delivery of products.   
  • Set annual goals and performance metrics (KPIs) for each of the key products, in coordination with the Departments that fund each product. 

Business Success

  • Work collaboratively with the Customer Success and Solutions Teams to ensure that all products meet budgeted revenue and BD goals.
  • Manage staff resources effectively against budget goals.
  • Complete financial and impact reporting accurately and on time.
  • Participate in shaping the organization’s annual work plan to execute on the FHN strategic plan and achieve maximum mission impact.

People Leadership

  • Manage a team of professionals that are responsible for product development and execution.
  • Nurture a culture of collaboration, teamwork and high-quality on-time and on-budget performance.
  • Set performance goals that cascade from the organizational goals to ensure that the team aligns with FHN strategy.
  • Coach team members on product development and execution to build capacity for product development, management and delivery.


  • A commitment to the mission of the Financial Health Network and a desire to positively impact the trajectory of a highly impactful, national nonprofit. 
  • 10 years of professional experience and demonstrated success in consulting or product development, particularly within a professional services organization. Experience in the financial services, workplace or healthcare industries is a plus.
  • Demonstrated people management skills with a strong commitment to embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across all internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Polished presentation skills and an ability to communicate with influence and motivate multiple audiences. 
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a diversity of stakeholder types; demonstrated expertise with a client-centered approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong collaborator and leader with excellent organization and people skills, and the ability to set priorities, problem-solve, and multi-task while paying attention to detail. 
  • High degree of flexibility to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment and readily embrace change.
  • Ability to commit to up to 10% domestic travel, with occasional evening meetings (1-2/month).


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
