Job Description: Director, Integrated Media Strategy

BSSP is looking for a Director, Integrated Media strategy who is relentlessly curious, passionate about advertising, riveted by evolving consumer media consumption patterns, creative, analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented. We need someone who is interested in building a client’s business, who endeavors to understand the category as well as our clients do, and who can mentor and grow their team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be a key leader in the strategic development, direction & activation across key clients

• As the expert on clients’ business, you will be a leader within the Cross-Channel Planning and Activation communities and liaison between senior management and junior team members. 

• You will manage and grow client relationships, existing and new, in partnership with the Head of Media

• You will assist the Head of Media in developing or evolving departmental policies, personnel, research needs and departmental workloads

• You will work with strategy and creative teams to develop consumer insights, inform consumer journeys, and determine the right time, place, and message to reach our audience. 

• Participate in new business projects and help to evolve the agency’s media offering, keeping us ahead of the marketplace

• Stay up-to-date on advertising, media and analytic marketplace trends

• Prepare POVs and white papers on industry trends and our view of their impact on consumers, client business, or our business

• Educate internal teams on consumer trends, new media technologies, and other information that has cross-departmental impact

• Manages and monitors workflow among team members on his/her assigned accounts

• Responsible for quality of key account activity

• Collaborate with analytics to weave insights based on ongoing and post-campaign reporting into future plans

• Responsible for building relationships with the broader media community, in partnership with Director of Activation

• Attend and participate at appropriate media, advertising and marketing seminars

• Supervise, motivate, mentor, and train the media team

QUALIFICATIONS

• 9+ years of experience at an agency or similar environment

• A curious and creative mindset

• Excellent relationship building skills

• Desire to mentor and teach

• Strength in presentation storytelling

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task

• The ability to deliver quickly and accurately

• Clear and concise written and verbal skills
