About the Role

Stackwell’s Content Creator & Community Engagement Manager will be extremely influential in leading Stackwell’s mission to build and grow a new community of Black investors. You will lead how we show up in the market, engage with our target audience, and connect them with Stackwell’s platform and resources designed to increase Black ownership of financial assets. You will be responsible for developing our user-facing content, with a particular focus on financial literacy and investment education, as well as cultivating the growth and development of the Stackwell community through designing and executing on our external engagement strategies. You will create, review, and edit creative, engaging educational and social content for the company which will be published in our mobile application, on our website and across our social channels. Most importantly, you will be a driving force behind promoting our brand and engaging & activating the Stackwell community! 

Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing and publishing a variety of different content pieces to be disseminated across our various platforms, including updating existing materials, generating new content, and identifying innovative & creative ways of delivering digital content to reach and engage our target audience
  • Planning, creating, managing and executing a digital content calendar to be used across all of our digital channels, increasing engagement with our audiences
  • Designing and executing our educational and social content strategies
  • Drive email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including market research, content creation, and the dissemination of copy, managing email databases and creating newsletters
  • Leveraging your copywriting skills to drive awareness of key announcements, events, and articles, amplify our PR efforts, and drive traffic to our mobile app and website
  • Researching and identifying new content partnership opportunities with “finfluencers,” leading the negotiation of strategic partnership opportunities and managing the integration and oversight of these relationships on an ongoing basis
  • Conducting user research to identify customer content and information needs in relation to the investment process, our products & services, and our company and writing respective content to cater those needs
  • Conducting data analysis to measure, monitor and report on the performance of certain content strategies and campaigns and the effectiveness of platforms utilized by the company
  • Managing ongoing SEO optimization and calibration
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends

About You

  • You are a proactive self-starter who excels at prioritizing and executing key tasks
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure
  • You have strong interpersonal skills required to build meaningful relationships with team members throughout the organization
  • You have strong proficiency with content management systems and analytics tools
  • You are adept at developing and managing social media campaigns across channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
  • You have excellent attention to detail, and strong proof-reading and editing skills
  • You are driven by a personal passion for Stackwell’s mission to close the racial wealth gap
  • You have high emotional intelligence and empathy, and can use this to communicate with our audience (some of whom have fear and mistrust of financial markets due to historical exclusion) in a culturally congruent way

Experience

  • 4-6+ years of experience working in a social media manager, community engagement, digital marketing, content creator/writer/strategist role, or similar roles
  • Prior experience in financial services, tech, VC, consulting or a startup / high-growth environment strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with video filming and editing, graphic design, social media marketing, email marketing and SEO and keyword search optimization
  • Strong quantitative and presentation skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field 

Working at Stackwell 

  • This position is full time. Stackwell was founded in Boston, but our team works fully remote. Work hours can be flexible although the team primarily holds meetings during EST hours.
