Teaching Lab Specialist
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is searching for a Teaching Lab Specialist that will supervise and manage the teaching laboratories. This individual will also provide faculty with course design support in creating effective learning environments in line with desired educational outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline closely related to physical or chemical sciences. One year of experience in a laboratory setting, preparing experiments, and maintaining equipment.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Successful candidates will have the following: Knowledge of a chemical sciences laboratory. Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Word, MS Excel, HTML, and course management software. Knowledge of laboratory equipment and experimental design. Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently. Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion.
