UX Designer / Researcher

Daylight Design San Francisco is looking for a UX Designer / Researcher (exact title dependent on experience). We are looking for individuals who have fluidity with the human-centered design process, strong conceptual and creative thinking skills, and excellent quality of craft execution. Because Daylight is a small studio, we prioritize building our team with people who are experts in one discipline, and also have the desire to explore, dabble, fail, and grow in others.

The role requires someone who has a strong background in human-centered design and a high level of creativity, natural curiosity, and poise. Activities may include:

  • Craft compelling user experiences for consumer (for-profit and nonprofit clients) and business applications
  • Create sketches, IAs, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and finished designs
  • Design user research plans and lead them through execution and synthesis.
  • Plan and facilitate co-design sessions with clients and users.
  • Collaborate and work seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, strategists and project managers to align on objectives and goals and iteratively develop the best solutions
  • Work on a variety of projects - from broad, explorative prompts to pixel perfect designs for shipping
  • Create and manage schedules to meet deliverable deadlines
  • Create concepts that raise the bar in terms of quality
  • Collaborate internationally with our offices in Munich and Seoul and perhaps even travel to these locations if/when project demands
  • Collaborate directly with clients
  • Prepare presentations and present work back to clients
